This week we hop back to February 2012 which was when we made the trip of a lifetime to beautiful Canada for our dear friends Rob & Heather's stunning Winter wedding in Banff.

The pics of Little Man Tate are therefore a bit of a mix - Aussie Summer & Canadian Winter - but still pretty cute even if I do say so myself!! And once again I can't remember all of the outfits but I'll try my best...

Store Showcase: Zara Kids

About once a quarter we make a special shopping pilgrimage into Sydney CBD. Adam for his beloved Nespresso capsules. Me for Zara Kids. Oh & lunch at Din Tai Fung - yum!

I always say to myself before I go in that I must be sensible and limit myself to one, maybe two items for Little Man Tate but luckily for me this strange phenomenon always seems to occur - Adam starts looking & suddenly the one or two becomes more!

I'm going to let the pics do the talking for this post but I love the trendy European styling Zara Kids offers for little men like mine.

Firstly, here's my Pinterest board with all my current favourite picks:-

And here are my suggested outfit combinations (I had so much fun pulling these together but now I want to buy them all!!):-

And last but certainly not least, here's the little man himself wearing one of my all-time favourite outfits - all from Zara Kids...

Time-hop Tuesday: January 2012

I had a flash of inspiration today! I started this blog on November 6th 2011, just 4 days after our little man was born, and from then onward I kept it up (albeit sporadically) for 2 months until January 5th 2012. Do you know what this means?! I have over a year's worth of super cute outfits modelled by Tater Tot to share with you all & hopefully inspire anyone who is currently expecting or has a freshly-baked baby boy. I knew there was a reason for all that clothes shopping between then and now!!!

Today we are going to hop back to January 2012. Tate was 2 months old and such a little smiler. I hope you will enjoy looking at this as much as I have enjoyed compiling it.

I've picked 6 of my favourites from the month and although there are a few gaps in my memory, I believe the outfits were made up as follows:-

1. T-shirt by unknown (gift from UK), shorts by Target
2. Hat by Toshi, v-neck 'born to ride' onesie & checkered shorts with embroidered cars by Baby Gap
3. Polo shirt by Pumpkin Patch, shorts & belt by Target (I think!)
4. Hat by Toshi, t-shirt & board shorts by Target
5. Onesie by Mambo at Big W, leggings by Bonds
6. Long-sleeved t-shirt by H&M, jeans by unknown

Now for the pics & don't forget to join me again next week for my next opportunity to reminisce!

Au revoir Baby's Got Style

When I woke up one early April morning & saw Baby's Got Style's Facebook status declaring a 40-80% sale across the whole site I couldn't navigate there quickly enough! I even shared the great news with a number of other Mummy friends (one of whom is cursing me now for her bank balance). You see, Baby's Got Style is just one of those sites where you frequently visit and lust over their offering for the baby & toddler market - not quite high street, not quite designer, but an all-kinds-of-wonderful in-between - and make a virtual shopping list of stuff you'd really like to buy!

I soon discovered that I wasn't the only one frantically filling my cyber-basket - the site almost crashed with traffic I'm sure of it! I had to practise great self-restraint as Tate's wardrobe is already bursting at the seams so I mostly stocked up on long-sleeved t-shirts which will see him through Autumn/Winter 2013 and also a little into Spring, along with a few treats that I just couldn't resist.

Some items in my basket went out of stock whilst I was shopping and although I was disappointed I was also kind of relieved that my bill was a little less! I placed my order on 12 April and kept looking back at my confirmation email in anticipation of the lovely package to come!

As I've mentioned before I don't work on Fridays but I do have a very good friend at work who keeps me up-to-date with anything interesting that happens in my absence. Imagine my delight last Friday when she sends me an MMS of my Baby's Got Style package - I almost drove all the way into work just to pick it up!

Then... a couple of hours later another message arrives from the same friend - she just saw on her Facebook news feed that Baby's Got Style had just announced they had ceased trading pending the sale of their business... NOOOO!

I do sincerely hope that this wonderful business will be bought by someone who can continue their incredible reputation and pick the same calibre of clothes that they've stocked up until now.

Finally, I can't wait to show you Tate in some of his new togs but for now I'll leave you with a few pictures! A bit of a random mix you might think but I'm already planning how to style each piece with Tate's existing wardrobe... the blue & white stripe t-shirt with appliquéd owl will look fantastic with a pair of brown tweed trousers with matching braces Tate was given as a gift, the white vest I can just see with a crisp pale blue shirt for a special occasion & the sleeping fox singlet - well, I just couldn't pass it by!!

Store Showcase: Charlie & Me

As you have probably guessed by now, I LOVE Internet shopping (or just browsing for inspiration & making a wish-list when funds are low!) & I thought a regular highlight for this blog would be to showcase some of my favourite online stores.

Today I thought I'd share a recent find being Charlie & Me who carry an awesome, affordable range of kids clothing and accessories for babies, girls and boys.

I've pinned all my favourite Charlie & Me items for trendy toddlers all in one place and you can find my board here:-

I also thought I'd pull together a few suggested outfits from the current range - I hope you like them!

Tate currently only has two pieces from Charlie & Me & I already posted a photo of him wearing them earlier in the week but I'll leave you with a different angle of the outfit in question and no doubt he'll have more in his collection soon...!

Friday Fashion Fun

Friday is currently the one day a week I don't work so we always try to do something fun together & I enjoy dressing Tate in one of his cuter outfits rather than the daycare staples.

Today was no different and with a trip to a Sesame Street craft workshop followed by lunch on the beautiful beach-front of Manly I decided for a preppy / geek-chic kinda look for Little Man Tate.

When we went out to pick up some fresh bread (& a coffee for Mummy) this morning there was a definite nip in the air so I chose the following outfit to keep my boy warm but well-dressed:-

* Navy blue sweatshirt with bulldog print by Best & Less
* Jeans with braces by Zara Kids
* Shoes by Lily & Dan @ Aldi

I've also included a few 'out-takes' which made me laugh whilst trying to capture Tate's outfit this morning!

Daycare dressing for little dudes

Tate goes to daycare 4 days a week which somewhat limits our penchant for trendy toddler togs ("phew" says my husband) but I still try to keep Tate stylish and coordinated whilst remaining practical - cos EVERYTHING gets covered in paint, food, pen, glue, glitter - and comfortable at all times.

I buy most of Tate's daycare clothes from Kmart and Best & Less - that way it really doesn't matter if they get trashed!

For the Summer months Tate wears the following:-

* Sleeveless Bonds or Target onesie
* Short-sleeved t-shirt
* Cotton/jersey shorts with elasticated waist
* Socks
* Trainers - Volleys or, more recently, Clark's

In Winter I swap the short sleeves for long sleeves and the shorts for joggers. I also pack a hoodie in his backpack for those extra-cold days!

I was hoping to share some of my current fave picks from Best & Less and Kmart but their online offerings are pretty poor so instead you'll just have to put up with a picture of my own little model!

T-shirt by Kmart, joggers by Best & Less, trainers by Clark's shoes.

We're back!

Well folks I am admittedly the WORST at sticking to something once I start it and this blog is a prime example however my love for clothes (& shopping) hasn't diminished in the slightest and I am having so much fun dressing Tater Tot now he is a 'big boy' - 17 months old - so I thought I would start this up again!

I will be show-casing Tate's outfits, sharing some online shopping finds with you and occasionally having some guest 'models' on the blog. I hope you will enjoy this style journey through the world of trendy toddler togs!!

For now, I will give you a link to one of my Pinterest boards called 'Tater Tot Toddler Togs' which includes some clothes I would like to buy for Tate and some clothes I have already bought for Tate and some that I have just pinned for outfit inspiration. Can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pinterest!

And finally, a recent pic of my little style icon...
